Replace dax with an easier more intuitive language
Replace DAX with an easier more intuitive language that's quicker to code. Power BI language and user experience is meant to be self-service and easy to use and supposedly easier than Excel. But eh underlying DAX language is not easy to code. More complex measures that should take quick to code require more effort than SSRS or Tableau or any other language that I know of to get to the same result. Surely an easier and better language can be developed. Replace it with a tableau or SSRS -type scripting language that obviously still uses the current context etc, but thats easy to code for an end user.

I don't think that DAX is necessarily an inherently hard language. One problem is that Microsoft does not provide the resources to make learning DAX easy. The best learning resource that I've encountered is actually SQLBI's Mastering DAX 2nd Edition course. You need to pay, but they make the learning as easy as it gets.
The other problem is that you cannot step through DAX formulas and view an intermediate result. WIth Excel, you have Evaluate Formula. With Power Query, you can select different steps and view them in the preview. There is no equivalent to these for DAX. This means that, for DAX, you have to keep track of everything in your head spend a lot of time changing the formula to show intermediate results.
So the issue is not the language. It's the lack of help in using the language.
Python. It's silly to be pushing Excel/Dax/M coding onto people when you have this amazing language in Python. It would be a massive benefit if excel and PowerBI users who wouldn't normally be coders, to be directed in to Python which is a skill they can transfer into other realms and roles. In a world where every company is moaning like queens saying there is a skill shortage, then we go ahead and create even more languages to saturate the market even more spread everyones skill expertise thinly is just silly, when, you could just use python to achieve the same thing.
Every language takes time to learn. DAX may be harder than Excel but at the same time, it is more powerful than Excel. Also, if you will learn DAX faster if you know basic EXCEL formula as the formulas are pretty similar. You will find spending time in DAX worth it.
