How can we improve Power BI?

Allow customization of email subscription schedule

Extend the existing email subscription feature to allow me to specify exactly *when* the email is sent out - e.g. send me the email at 2pm every Monday.

More information about the existing feature can be found here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introducing-email-subscriptions-in-power-bi-stay-informed-when-it-matters/

Hi there. New feature very powerful and helpful in our project a lot. We have a problem with a subscription in "Attribute slicer" which was exported from the market. This slicer is blank. But when I export it from PowerBI desktop - everything is fine. Thank you

Hi there. This is such a useful feature! Would it be possible for you to also introduce a "monthly" subscription option (i.e., per calendar month)? It's quite common for reports to be sent out on a MONTHLY basis but this seems difficult to reconcile with the daily / weekly options currently available. Would really love to see this added....

to have this respecting bookmarks is a good idea, I would second that, I couldnt use this feature without it as I use them heavily to help customise reports for many customers

    Chris Finlan,
Any chance a future update to this new subscription feature could allow the subscription to be based off a Bookmark?
To consolidate report tabs, I use a few bookmarks on a report. But now if I want more than 1 bookmark on 1 report page to be within a subscription, I would have to break them out to separate pages.

Can you please also send report data out in .csv format; PNG for data is absolutely pointless!

Absolutely imperative to have clear visibility, operations running 24hrs a day need to be able to email out info at the end of Day shift and Night shift

Great to hear it's being worked on! Can you PLEASE not limit it to PBI Premium like everything new these days?

Almost a year since this idea has been posted any progress? We get a partially updated report from the subscription email, though differs each day, as the report is being updated from a cube. Therefore this feature isn't reliable enough to provide to staff.

Agreed. A subscription schedule should not be tied to the refresh schedule of a data set. Each subscription should have it's own schedule.

This is very important. Often times with dashboards you have data that takes completes refreshing at different times...thus if you schedule a weekly or daily email, it will get triggered by the first data model to be refreshed so you are sending users a snapshot of sometimes only 1 out of 20 visuals refreshed. If you could specify the time of day for it to send you could have it scheduled after all data models finish refreshing.

I unchecked the link to report in the subscription selection option, saved and closed. However, I still see the "GOTO report" button in the email. Is it supposed to be like this?

The subscription scheduled should have the below options for users to choose from...

    1. Daily (Should be able to specify what time of day.)
    2. Weekly (Should be able to specify what day and time.)
    3. Monthly (Should be able to specify what date and time.)
    4. Every time the dataset is refreshed.
    5. Send email now.

Posting it on schedule is extremely important - some data changes all the time yet people don't have time to review it that often or just want to see the trends

This is extremely important, as some data changes very often yet people want to be updated only during certain times.
