Hi, for those still concerned, i workaround this missing feature by simply subscribing myself to the report and then, in outlook, setting up a "redirect" rules that will do the job to send an exact copy of my subscription to a defined group of people.

this worked fine. and is server-side, so even if outlook is off, it works.

        but there is some drawbacks:
        - no trigger different from mine
        - ...

This is very basic requirement for, to make use of created reports. All executives would like to see reports in mail. I should be able to subscribe them.

This is a very basic functionality available in almost all other BI tools. Please add this ASAP so we can buy Power BI premium.
        Thanks

Is there anyway we can get a notice or time line of when this feature will be implemented

Can't wait until this feature is available, we have customers asking for it. We'll need to use SSRS for now

The ability to set up a subscription is very necessary since a lot of the leadership prefer and email over having to pull the report themselves.

This needs to happen ASAP. As everyone is saying, this needs to be a priority. As the owner of the report I should be able to subscribe users who the report is shared out to.

Would be great if we can also build an email template to be sent away, and choose on the dashboard and/or which reports to be included

It'd be really helpful to be able to submit lists of email addresses to receive reports created by someone on their team without actually having to have that person go and accept them. I can't expect someone that simply needs to look at the report and act on it to necessarily go and subscribe for each new relevant report that's created.

This is really important for my current situation. Managers and others do not want to log in to Power BI. They just want an email of a report sent to them without having to subscribe to it themselves. Please set the priority high for this.

The ability to manage subscriptions for groups will be very important to the long term viability of the PowerBI product within our organization and to our clients. Many decision makers do not want to or do not have the ability to login to Power BI themselves. "Pushing" the insights developed within PowerBI will further help to embed the technology within organizations

It would be great to be able to also "manage" those subscriptions so I could turn them off for people when they don't want the reports anymore.

This is very important, managers generally wont log in to see reports, they only want to see the big picture

Having the ability to send out snapshots (gifs being linked back to PBI) of the most recent dashboard rendered to the members of an Office365 group in a format that can be defined either by user or Dashboard creator, is critical for Enterprise Adoption of PBI.

      • Curtis ChongCurtis Chong commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Basically being able to use email AD group and/or users to the subscription. Currently we are using SSRS as PBI doesn't support this.

This is very important feature to use Power BI... because many users don't open powerbi service to see the report, they want to receive the report (pdf or excel) in their inbox.

Please it will be hard to get my organisation on board with PowerBI if this feature is not released because report subscriptions is the core of our current process and not having this defeats the whole PowerBI Idea. Thanks a lot for looking into this.
