Allow Table and Matrix Data Exports to Match PowerBI Visual
I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.
Thanks for your feedback on this issue – while we’d like to enable this, there is currently no timetable around doing so. There is the option as a workaround the create a paginated view as a drillthrough of the visual and have a formatted version you can export to Excel, but understand this isn’t a solution everyone can take advantage of currently.

MUST HAVE this feature!

This is a must have. I have built income statements from the GL up and I don't expect my Chief Accountant to have to manipulate the data for his own use.

Debería tener esta opción es urgente importante. El hecho de que no exista esta opción, ocasiona problemas con mi cliente, nos obligará a cambiar a otra herramienta que si realiza este tipo de exportación.
I agree with everyone else...a MUST HAVE!!!

why no one from microsoft power bi team take owner of this request
it has been over 3 years and yet every month keep saying how great the
monthly update is, just do this one and get it done
This is a must to have the ability to download a matrix report from Power BI and the Excel format looks the same. Many users in our organization do not like having to build pivot tables after exporting the data from Power BI. Many of used other BI products and had no problem. Are there plans to enhance PBI Pro to allow users to download complex Matrix reports to excel and have the same appearance? Thanks

Competitors like Tableau have this export as crosstab function. Why is this not available in PBI yet?
This is crucial as we have don't have the time to recreate the formatting every time a request comes for certain data, particularly for complex reports. Other BI software that I've used has this feature so it's strange that Power BI does not.
Please add this function to Power BI, This is the simple feature of BI sofeware

waiting for that change to be applied
It seems there is enough interest and urgency here that some sort of response from the Microsoft Power BI product team is warranted. An update, please?
Can we get an ETA?
This feature was a huge point of contention for my previous employer and forced us to pursue other options, and the situation is likely to follow suit at my current employer as well.
Seems kind of ridiculous that Power BI wouldn't have the same functionality as Excel or Power Query, let alone other competing tools.
Please hurry this along!
Agreed, I think it would make the most sense when exporting a matrix if underlying data was exported into one sheet, then a second sheet would be created with a pivot table already formatted the same way as the matrix (i.e. same fields in the rows, columns and values).
I would even go one step further to say you should be able to export the whole page to where a separate Excel sheet would be created for each visual.
I get tons of requests from users of reports/dashboards I create to export in the same format as the report.
