How can we improve Power BI?

scheduled export of a report to pdf

It would be nice if there is an option to have a scheduled export of a report to PDF. A nice to have feature would be to directly e-mail it to people so they are being notified of the latest report.

We’ll send you updates on this idea

We recently announced the ability to schedule PDF attachments for Paginated Reports in Power BI (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/e-mail-subscriptions-for-paginated-reports-is-now-available/).
We’re planning to have this ability for Power BI reports as well, but it will take time to put that feature in place.

For folks asking about the ability to print/export the entire table of data to PDF or other format, we’ll be announcing shortly the ability to publish paginated reports using Power BI datasets, which would allow folks to create simple paginated report tables to use for this scenario, as it’s not currently possible to do this with Power BI reports natively at this time.

Give some UPDATE on the STAUS please. So many of our projects depend heavily on this feature. When are we going to see some light on this????

    Good morning,
Is there any sort of visibility as to when you think it might be ready?
Or some sort of roadmap? Thank you!

Hi - I know several folks have asked - is there a timeline for delivery on this? I'm asking because my organization is considering purchasing Power BI Robots, and we need to make a decision. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for starting on this. Is there an estimate for when thes changes will be deliverd?
Will it be possible to export from two different reports to one .PPTX?

As Carlos was asking? "Is there any timeline for this feature on Power BI Developer (Embedded)"? Or is it already included since it is part of the service?

    Thanks

I agree with Mat Grisham's post. If it's not going to allow you to apply filters and export without saving the report like PPTX requires, it's not going to be useful. That issue is a huge road block in being able to successfully implement this product as a self-serve option for reporting.

If it's going to work like the export to PPTX feature, does that mean it will ignore any slicer or filter selections and only export the report as saved? If so, this will be a rather useless feature as you could just export to pptx and save as PDF in the current version of the service. Export to PDF should really include any slicer selections so that users can get to the data view that they need, export, and then share with non service using users.

Is there any functionality you could build in that would allow you to select the "slicer(s)" that will drive your printed pdf export. For example, I want to see a series of reports printed with each individual slicer selected.... crazy talk??? Also, is there a possibility to generate a powerpoint export as many visulizations end up as slide in presentation?
