scheduled export of a report to pdf
It would be nice if there is an option to have a scheduled export of a report to PDF. A nice to have feature would be to directly e-mail it to people so they are being notified of the latest report.
Another update on this item – users now have the ability to set up scheduled subscriptions with paginated reports and 6 different formats, along with parameters per subscription to allow further personalization. There is also now the ability to create paginated reports against any Power BI dataset in the service, and we’re planning to add drillthrough from Power BI to Paginated Reports in the short term.
We still have plans to support e-mail attachments for Power BI reports as well in the coming months, and we’ll share more specifics once we get closer to starting that work.

The full report where you can select the different pages what you would like to show.
Don't care about schedule, just need full report (e.g. All data in table that scrolls) in one PDF. Thats more important. Get to scheduling later.
Hi Sirui, I need to send out the full report each month as a powerpoint / pdf and currently have to print screen as it is over the limit. Having a full report extract with custom visuals as well would be excellent!

Whole report; some people still prefer a static pdf in their inbox and that's what I am hoping to address with this feature. If page-numbers can be added, even better.

Hi Sirui. I have managers who would love this feature. It would be great to have option to schedule a full report and be able to apply filters that you have identified during the report creation process. The option the schedule a one-time report or reoccurring schedule based on a frequency would be great. also, the key is going to be the schedules ability to refresh the report in connection with the distribution.
We use Power BI for monthly reporting now (many of which are over 15 pages long) and we have a regulatory need to export the pack as is each month according to the monthly meeting schedules.
Currently, we are literally screenshotting each page / bookmark every month, sometimes multiple times a month per report in order to support this need.
We need to be able to export the entire report (with an option to use either bookmarks or pages to define each page to export) into a PDF. The PDF needs to look exactly as it looks on screen. Currently, we can only PDF a single page or export to PPT up to 15 pages, both options completely messing up the format of the page.
An additional feature that would make this even better is the ability to select a format (the same way we can when printing PPT - Full Page Slides, 2 Slides, 3 Slides, etc. but pages or bookmarks instead of slides).
Also, this needs to be available to all users (viewers as well as creators of content) so creators aren't stuck exporting reports on behalf of users.

Would be great if the selected views / graphs can print landscape / portrait or multiple to a page like from within PowerPoint. An option to include slicer / filter details optionally as notes will be awesome as well. The primary use case here is to be able to take these on paper to a meeting with technologically challenged users, especially executives who do not carry their laptops / tablets to meetings.

It'd be good to have the flexibility, i.e. to export the entire report, or a certain page.

Please see Tableau's print to PDF capability as a baseline. You can add borders, headings and footers. Essentially, people want to be able to print out PDF's for board meetings, which have to be in a specific look and format. The more customisable the better. Today, people have to export data out of PowerBI into Excel OR grab screenshots to reformat a page layout which defeats the purpose.
Hi Sirui. Our requirement is to be able to export a report, e.g. after the user has applied any filters, etc as a 'dumb' page. That is to say the report runner controls the selection of data, filtering etc and then outputs to a format like PDF so that it can be emailed to users inside and outside the enterprise.
A common use case is to meet statutory reporting requirements. E.g. our client have to report to central govt on a weekly or monthly basis with a report having fields X, Y and Z. Field length, etc being prescribed as is the file format.
In our case we are looking to save complete reports to PDF but presumably the ability to save a sub-set of pages would be valuable also.
We provide with PowerBi a Monitoring Service to our clients. We would like to send the reports (multiple pages in the same report) trough automated email (for example 1 time per week) to multiple people (our clients.).
We would really appreciate that.
Thank you for putting this under review - with our current BI system we can arrange for a "broadcast" of a report which sends a PDF version via email to the recipient. This way the execs don't have to log into BI and can get instant information.
Hi Sirui! I'm so happy that this feature it's under review. From my standpoint, I would like to be able to do a simple function of "Save As". It could be a page or the entire report. Part of this request is also to be able to "schedule in the future" the report to run and send via email as PDF.

We simply require the ability to change a filter on a multi-page report. Then, print a selected number of pages to PDF.

Use case: Each month I have to send a PDF report (one page) to a number of people. That report has a Business Unit filter. I need PowerBI to cycle through all the values of the Business Unit filter and produce a PDF for each Business Unit. I then email each PDF to various people who work in that Business Unit.
To do this now I have to do these steps 30 times, one for each Business Unit:
1. Change the filter value
2. Take a screenshot of the page using Snipping Tool
3. Print to PDF
4. Attach to email & send to recipients for that Business Unit
It'd save me a huge amount of time if PowerBI could do 1-3.
Multi-page reports export is super, super important here. Otherwise, it will be just like printing a dashboard and sending it to a PDF file printer. The ability to specify your filters is important too.

Love that you are looking into this. I'd like the flexibility of choosing which pages to make a pdf as we have in MS Word. Slicers and filters etc should be based on what we are looking at when set the schedule...i.e. it pdfs what we see. Also would like the ability to scale each page so it fits on the selected page size.
I would generally just need a page of a report though being able to do all pages would be great, having the filters/slicers is critical. Being able to do a dashboard may be important, we haven't rolled out the contract for Service yet so right now I'm just doing the free version.
I would like the ability to export a PBIRS report to PDF on a network shared drive with one report page to one PDF page. No slicers or interactivity would be required in the output, but I do require the ability to set at least the report level filters when setting up the schedule.
The email to users feature is actually more important/useful than saving to a file share for my user base, so if it could work just like SSRS subscriptions that would be ideal.
The ability to data-drive subscriptions would also be ideal, for example such that each Power BI report can be filtered for each division in a list and then emailed to specific users for that division.
We need full report(multipage reports) exporting to pdf via API. If it possible?
