Optionally remove focus mode box
Provide option to remove the focus mode border. This has the effect of messing up the experience of the report in most cases. If I want to allow focus mode on a detailed chart, then I can enable it. But in most cases it is extra UI baggage
While the dev team has this in their backlog wanted to set expectations they haven’t started the effort.
In this link it shows how to turn off the visual header in reading mode for a report. The March 2018 version must be downloaded. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/es-es/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-2018-feature-summary/
Seriously need this prioritized!

Please prioritize this idea. It has been over a year. Many of my reports got bad feedback due to this annoying box.
This is very necessary.
Almost all my reports have dropdown slicers that overlap each other and make it difficult to select.
The only option it to space them very far apart and leave less space to display metrics/ results.
Please fix, we have feedback that users have stopped using PowerBI because it's too difficult to use.

Come on, do the change already, this is soooooo annoying!

Is there any news about this?

Last update was almost a year ago? Are we any closer to getting rid of (or disabling) this disruptive layout on slicers and text boxes?
It can really make a report look tacky...
When we use many slicers and when we do mouse moves over to do filter on, an additional icon appears. This appears to be redundant and no value. It causing major issues when a report has multiple slicers close together. Can we have any fix yet to disable focus mode/more option (...) ?

I agree. This is absolutely necessary, please help get this moved to the top of the priorities list!
Its been sooooo long....This feature is an absolute necessary ! I request the Power BI dev team to take this up asap.
Up! Up! Up! This is not a fancy feature request. It makes users really annoying and makes report design unprofessional. Just add another formatting option to visuals which allows us to select bar and individual icon visibility.
This makes me insane - this is absolutely a must have for us to provide any of these dashboards to executives. Please remove these stupid boxes.
Is there a way to push this important feature in the roadmap? This is not a nice to have feature It's a must have.
Please make it an option to hide the focus box. Why is this so hard to do? It's so annoying and experience breaking when you're interacting with a beautiful visualization and the annoying bar pops up and breaks immersion. Look in the data stories gallery for plenty of examples of why you should be able to hide/disable it. I want to present a seamless experience to customers and this breaks it.

I hope PowerBI team realizes this is not a 'nice-to-have' rather a must-have.
Not only do the unnecessary boxes affect aesthetics, to a user they are distracting -and even annoying.
Eg dense reports that combine slicers close together has boxes jumping all over the place.
Widespread adoption (and appreciation) of visualisation tools within an organisation strongly relies on an intuitive interface. Personally I'd also be more proud of my work in PowerBI if it would present more sleek and truly like a professional app.

So hey dev team. I heart you all so much.
But fo real.
This NEEDS to happen. At the moment my craftsmanship looks beautiful but when the canvass is dark it only looks nice until you want to use it, at which point the focus bar appears and really detracts from the "slick system" appeal that rivals such as tableau master.
This would take dashboards that look nice in a resting state, to dashboards that look nice in EVERY state. make it happen!

This is causing major issues when a report has multiple slicers close together. Makes it pretty much unusable.

Upvote from me, be great to fix this
Please can this be prioritised higher? My dev team don't want to embed reports in our app since the focus boxes around aesthetic elements like shapes and text boxes make the reports look too unprofessional.
