Allow me to pin a filter to the dashboard that can be associated with one or more pinned dashboard KPIs.4,113 votes
We don’t plan to bring filters to dashboards. We do plan on investing more in composite models to allow multiple sources to be brought into the same report for slicing and filtering.
Provide a Power BI Designer application install for Mac OSs.3,653 votes
We are not considering bringing Power BI Desktop to Mac anytime soon; however, we do plan to bring more and more authoring capabilities from Power BI Desktop into the web experience. In the meantime, consider running Power BI Desktop in an application like Parallels or Turbo.net.
can i sign in with my MS outlook login?2,811 votes
Power BI relies on users being part of an organization. The challenge with personal email accounts is that there is no clear organization to which to add users. Customers who are using personal accounts can be invited to access content within an organization bases on the Azure B2B support within Power BI.
For customers who don’t have an organization, you can establish an organization in www.azure.com then create an Azure Active Directory (free). Within the AAD you can create a new user. With this new organizational identity, you can sign-up for Power BI.
Power BI should have a Lite License for people that only consume dashboards or reports every now and then. This is for people that don't create reports but need to see the dashboards and may need to use the "report level" to be able to export output to PowerPoint (since you can't export the dashboard to PowerPoint but can only do it at Report level).2,415 votes
With the introduction of Power BI Premium earlier this year, there are now two licensing options for Power BI: Power BI Pro and Power BI Premium. This provides the flexibility to select the model that best meets the needs of individual users and entire organizations – whether that’s equipping users with access to self-service BI, broadening the reach of BI content for users occasionally viewing dashboards and reports, or elevating storage sizes, increasing refresh rates and introducing other performance capabilities based on workload requirements.
The right choice, Pro or Premium, depends on your particular situation. We’ve been listening to your questions on UserVoice, the community, and other forums about what option to choose, and have developed a FAQ on our blog that answers the most common questions. Check it out at https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-pro-power-bi-premium-flexibility-to-choose-the-licensing-best-for-you-and-your-organization/.

You can pin live report pages to dashboard if you want this functionality, or use a report instead.

Option to disable the share buttons (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and share itself) in the embed code. I am using the embed code to post the report in a sharepoint page with in the company by this would prevent a public sharing.515 votes
Thanks for taking the time to vote and share your feedback on our product.
However, it seems that you are not using the solution that fit your needs.
The ‘Share’ buttons only exists in ‘Publish to Web’ product, which is meant only for public and open content sharing.
In order to embed content into SharePoint, while keeping data secured and manage user permissions,
Please use the ‘Power BI Embedded’ product.
See this article on how to embed content to SharePoint Online using Power BI Embedded-
I think it will be great if report server can support custom R visualization for more data insight!497 votes
Thanks for your feedback – we’re not currently planning to bring R visuals in Power BI reports to Power BI Report Server.
As mentioned in the comments, a workaround to consider is several public blog posts that discuss how you can potentially use R visuals in paginated reports in the product.
Support for exporting Power BI report to PowerPoint. The feature is available in Power BI service (Preview).406 votes
We’re not planning to bring this feature to Power BI Report Server for Power BI Reports due Some engineering challenges to bring the current architecture for this in the service to the on-prem server product. You’ll of course continue to have the ability to export to PPT for RDL reports in the server product.
Support ESRI ArcGIS maps in Power BI Report Server.319 votes
Thanks for your feedback – at this time, we’re not planning to add this capability to Power BI Report Server. We understand this will be disappointing to many of you who’ve voted and provided feedback, and this wasn’t a decision made lightly. And of course, you’ll continue to see investments in these capabilities in the Power BI service going forward.
Right now, If I use PowerBI desktop to create a dataset, report and dashboard. I am not able to share it with a standard user. This effectively means that we have to either licence everyone as a pro (very expensive for 4k people), or not use the pro features at all (which isn't what we want).
Pro users should be able to build and schedule the PowerBI, and then be able to share with any company user using AD security groups.
Without these options the tool may not be a viable option...185 votes
Add Dashboards to Power BI Report Server159 votes
As mentioned on a previous ideas post, we aren’t planning to bring dashboards to Power BI Report Server. These will continue to be a feature found exclusively in the Power BI service.
Ability to edit the powerbi report in the browser without the need to use the power bi desktop similar to what you can do in the powerbi service. This will allow for an on prem web based self service solution.146 votes
This feature isn’t planned for PBIRS and isn’t on the product backlog. As such, we’re marking this as not planned.
Provided the fact that NoSQL Database is emerging, it would be good to add NoSQL database such as MongoDB,Cassandra etc. as a data source in Power BI Excel mode as well as in Power View Dashboard.140 votes
Thanks for your feedback.
Please file specific suggestions for each data source that you’d like to see.
Here’s an existing suggestion for MongoDB, which you can vote: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/7017782-mongodb
There currently isn’t an existing suggestion for Cassandra, please create one if that is the data source you’d like to see added to Power BI.
Give people pr groups different levels of permissions (Read Only, Read Write etc) while sharing a dashboard.134 votes
Being able to automatically filter a dashboard based on gps position. A location aware dashboard filter.
Say a company has 100 stores divided by 10 regions, each store has a region manager who weekly visits the store to monitor progress. It would be super awesome if the Power BI dashboard automatically slices the dashboard to the location of the store.112 votes
If you pin the whole page with slicers to the dashboard you can use these slicers at the dashboard in Power BI web version without opening the report.
However, this functionality (using slicers directly at the dashboard) doesn't work on mobile devices without opening the report.
Please add the functionality of using slicers at the dashboard also for mobile devices.104 votes
Currently we don't have any options to use Natural Language Queries / Q&A from Power BI Report Server. Please add this fetaure to Power BI Server.44 votes
Thank you all for providing this feedback and voting on this idea. As mentioned in other forums, including at last year’s Ignite conference, Q&A isn’t a feature we plan to bring to the on-prem server product. However, you’ll continue to see updates and enhancements to this functionality in PowerBI.com.
