scheduled export of a report to pdf
It would be nice if there is an option to have a scheduled export of a report to PDF. A nice to have feature would be to directly e-mail it to people so they are being notified of the latest report.
5,736 votesAnother update on this item – users now have the ability to set up scheduled subscriptions with paginated reports and 6 different formats, along with parameters per subscription to allow further personalization. There is also now the ability to create paginated reports against any Power BI dataset in the service, and we’re planning to add drillthrough from Power BI to Paginated Reports in the short term.
We still have plans to support e-mail attachments for Power BI reports as well in the coming months, and we’ll share more specifics once we get closer to starting that work.

incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
Enable Incremental Refresh for Power BI Pro users, not just Premium.
5,388 votesThanks for all the feedback on this! We are definitely planning on adding Incremental refresh to Pro. Do know though that it is a fair amount of work, so it may be a bit before we can give you a more firm timeline.
In the meantime, keep voting so you’re notified when we do have more information to share!

Conditional Formatting for Total and Subtotals in Matrices
The recent addition of conditional formatting for values is wonderful. However, it would be great to have the ability format subtotals and totals, as the variation on those fields are often even more important to draw attention to.
4,959 votesThanks for the feedback! While this isn’t (yet!) on our near term roadmap, please keep voting and giving us feedback on the idea. We definitely see the need and will update the idea when we are closer to adding this feature.

Add expand/collapse feature to column headers
Vote on this idea if you want expand/collapse on column headers in the matrix similar to what was shipped for row headers in November (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-2018-feature-summary/#expandCollapse).

Measure Management & DAX Editor
Anyone who uses PowerBI long enough has had a PBIX with 50-60 measures and it has become time consuming and tedious to mantain. In Excel you can do a quick find/replace to edit several formulas - in PowerBI you need to select each one individually. An "excel-like" interface for editing measures would save a lot of time! This would take PowerBI to the next level regarding productivity. I've prepared a mockup for this as well as a DAX Editor. Let me know what you think.

Paginated reports - please make it available in Pro as well as Premium
Paginated reports - please make it available in Pro as well as Premium .. thank you
3,887 votesThanks for the feedback and your vocal support about it! This is under discussion, so please keep voting this up and providing the feedback/examples of why this is so important to you and your organization.

Incremental Data Loads
Is it possible to add incremental load functionality to Power Query? Pull and load just new or changed rows from source system
3,851 votesWe’re pleased to announce that in the May release of Power BI Desktop you can now define incremental refresh policies for your models.
At present these only apply once the model is published to a Premium workspace in the Power BI service; we’ll be bringing it to all Pro users in the future.
You can read more about it in our blog here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-2018-feature-summary/#incrementalRefresh
We’re going to leave this idea open for now, so please give us your feedback while we’re in this preview phase!

Sparkline
Can we add sparkline support to tables and matrix? Native Excel PivotTable supports it.

3,837 votesGreat idea! We’d like to add more visualization types in the future, and the votes that this item receives will help us prioritize them.

Page (Tab) level Security.
Add security to show/hide any specific page (Tab) on a report based on users privileges / Roles.
3,715 votesThanks for all the feedback! We’ll consider this feature for a future release but no timelines to share just yet.

Add a multiple columns sort featue
If it is possible please provide the multiple columns sort . For example I want to sort the table visualization based on Priority and severity

Conditional formatted measures using SWITCH
A current limitation in Power BI SWITCH measures (and all Power Pivot actually) is that a SWITCH measure must have a single format. It is currently not possible to conditionally format the measure result based on any criteria - it is one single format only. There are valid use cases where you may want to change the format of the SWITCH measure depending on the result. Consider the following SWITCH statement
myMeasure = SUMX(MeasureTable,switch([selected measure],
1,[Total Sales],
2,[Total Cost],
3,[Total Margin],
4,[Chg Sales vs LY %]
))
The first 3 results are all currency format, but the last result is…3,464 votesFrom the comments and scenarios everyone’s describing, the problem is really that you need a way to allow end-users to change which measure is displayed in a visual on the fly.
As a few folks have mentioned, the FORMAT function might help in the interim, as long as you’re showing the results in text rather than a chart. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/format-function-dax has details on how to use that.
The expression-based formatting feature that we’ve started work on may help to a certain extent, but that’s really designed to change a visual’s properties rather than the data type or format. We’ll look into extending that work to support this scenario as well.
We’re moving this to Backlog status – our core plan is to build ways that end-users can change the dimensions or measures that are visible in a chart on the fly. They’ll be able to explore much more freely rather than…

Option to use either light or dark interface.
New Desktop app update installed an almost white user interface. There is zero contrast which is not good for the eyes. I see where some people have requested a light interface so incorporate an option to select either light or dark theme like in the Office apps.
3,423 votesThis is on our roadmap but we don’t have a specific timeline to share at this point. We’ll update this when we have more details!

Allow Table and Matrix Data Exports to Match PowerBI Visual
I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Add Folders To Organize Reports On PowerBI.com
RIght now, on powerbi.com, there is no ability to organize reports, dashboards, etc into folders. If you have a lot of content or users, this gets messy quickly.
Please add the ability to organize into folders (and secure those folders separately)
2,639 votesThank you all for the feedback since our last update. We’re working on building a new navigation experience to allow authors to customize a folder-like structure for all the contents within Power BI Apps. Stay tuned!

Default Selected Slicer or Tile-By Value Configuration
Allow a user to set the default value for a slicer or tile-by value on a page/dashboard, so that when the Power View page is opened for the first time, the default value is selected.
eg. If the page has a slicer for Year or Month, allow the user to configure the most recent Year or Month to be selected by default.2,628 votesWe’re looking into this request, thanks for everyone’s votes and comments.
It looks like many of the requests will be addressed by the new ‘Sticky filters’ capability. Now when you log out of Power BI and come back to a report, the same items will be selected as when you left.
For those who’re looking to have a ‘last month’ selection, the relative date slicer might help.
Those with comments about currencies where having multiple selected makes the report meaningless – the report will load with whatever selection the author saved, so if you save it with one currency selected your users will see that by default.
If there are scenarios that these features don’t address, please let us know in your comments – if you are really specific it’ll help us build the feature to work just the way you want!
Thanks again!

Support creating calculation groups in Power BI Desktop
Support the creation of DAX calculation groups in Power BI Desktop - otherwise Power BI can only consume calculation groups created in Analysis Services, whereas it would be very useful to have this feature in any Power BI model.
Even just a simple text window with a script would be fine. You can clean up the UI later.
Thanks.2,339 votesThis is in our backlog. Stay tuned for more updates!

Power BI Designer API
Power BI Designer saves a local PBIX file, which can be a file to export data and data model – in other words, it’s a format that contains a complete semantic model. All the applications that today export data in several formats (CSV, Excel, XML), might provide a richer semantic model exporting a PBIX file.
Many ISV/SI that have OLTP and other applications that stores data in some database, usually struggle to offer a compelling BI story to their customers. The smaller they are, the more they feel this pressure because probably the effort they can put in their custom…

input fields
What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly…
2,194 votesHi everyone. This is something we’d like to get to in the future but don’t have any plans for at the moment.

Custom order for legend
I should be able to order the "legend" and the values for each legend category in a stacked bar chart. This is similar to "series order" feature in Excel
2,147 votesThanks for the feedback. Vote to keep updated on progress for this item.

Show column data profile statistics in header
Add a column data profile histogram in the data view for every column in Power BI Desktop. This handy feature exists in Power Query (sometimes only on sampled data).
Add this feature to Power BI Desktop as well, please.
1,953 votesGreat idea! Keep the feedback coming – we’ll update this item as we make progress.
