  1. input fields

What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly…

  2. Increase Export Data Limits

In late 2016, Power BI improved our export data options to allow exporting up to 150,000 rows to Excel from a visual on a Power BI dashboard for Pro users. If you require higher limits, please vote on this idea. If you have more specific requirements, please leave them in the comments.

There are longer term plans to allow larger exports in that use case, but there isn’t a current timeline as to when that will be available. Customers who have Power BI Premium can set a drill-through to paginated reports via URL parameters as a workaround in the interim, as there is no data export limit for paginated reports.

  3. Transfer of ownership of created dashboards

It would be great if there was an option to tranfer ownership of created reports and dashboards. This way, work would not have to be duplicated if the original creator was to leave the company/change roles/etc.

  4. Power BI Online Query Parameters

This is a continuation of "Allow runtime parameters in Power View and/or Power Query". Request this capability in Power BI Online so users can go to a dashboard and easily be able to search for a list of values. Currently the user would need to use a slicer and individual select each value. An example would be if I had list of part numbers to search in the dashboard. Currently I would need to scroll up and down in a slicer and individually select each one. In SSRS I can create a parameter dropdown and easily type in and even…

  5. Full Screen Dashboards in Power BI Desktop

Include an option to publish or show a "Full Screen" dashboard for Power BI Desktop, similar to a PowerPoint Slide.

  6. Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

Would be great if we had a notes area of the Dashboard for people to leave comments or questions about the content on the Dashboard. Same would be true for the PowerView Reports, except have them rollup in the Dashboard area.

  7. Add word wrap to bar chart Y-Axis Labels

If you have long names on a bar chart Y-Axis they get truncated. This is a problem if you have ones that start with something similar. Could we have a word wrap option on the format menu that takes advantage of the vertical space so the whole label can be shown.

  8. copy data to clipboard

Copy Data to Clipboard should be a simple right-click context menu capability --- as it has been in Tableau for years. Often, user wants data being displayed without going through export to CSV and import into Excel. Just simple copy-paste of data out of visual to clipboard to ... whatever intended ... is extremely useful.

  9. Bookmarks on BI Service at Dashboard level

Loving the new bookmarking feature, however working within an organisation where Power BI has just been introduced the majority of our dashboards are pinned reports to dashboard level. It would be AMAZING if the bookmarks (linked to images) worked on the dashboard level.

If you can pin an entire report and the interactive visuals work, logic dictates that any image-based bookmarks should also work. Also adding bookmarks to filters would be heaven.

I appreciate that bookmarks are in preview but would welcome any indication of further bookmark developments?

  10. The ability to click and drag to select multiple visuals

Like other visual editing packages, would be good if it was possible to drag and select multiple visuals.

  11. Table / Matrix: Total Column on first position

Allow the total column in tables or matrix to be on the first position instead on the last.

  13. Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)

Thank you for adding the linear trend line, however Power BI would be much more powerful with additional trend line functionality. We would love to see advanced options such as polynomial, exponential and logarithmic trend lines.

Essentially the trend line functionality from excel would be perfect

  14. Refresh dashboards tiles when i change a report

It very annoying having to re-draw every dashboard that uses a specific report. It would be nice having automatic refresh of the dashboard tile when I change a report involved.

  15. SYNC Hierarchy Slicers across multiple sheets

Unlike regular slicers, hierarchy slicer does not have the option to be sync. across multiple sheets. It would be nice to be able to drive the report based on selections made in the hierarchy slicer

  16. Public URL for Dashboards

We (and many others) would like to be able to have a public URL for any dashboard that is created. This would enable us to share visualizations outside our organization, with partners, etc.

We will think about enabling this. Won’t “embedding” in a public site via iframe be sufficient?

  17. Axis with configurable units (/Interval)

Configurable option of Units (Interval) for the axis in a graph. Now PowerBI automatically choices to units between values on the size of the graph and the data. As an example with a small graph and values ranging from minus -200 and +400 the unit PowerBI choices to use is 200. In this example data becomes hard to understand. If there is an option to set a unit on the axis, we could improve visibility if the automatic one doesn’t fill the needs. In the example we could set the unit of the y-axis to 50, this will increase the…

  18. ability to show/hide visuals based on conditionals

The idea is to allow specific conditions of data from a visual to impact the visibility of another visual.

For example if data in one visual greater than X, then hide Visual A.

I understand that such functionality would introduce the need to name visuals in PowerBI -- but this is not different than Excel, and would perhaps introduce the ability to manipulate visuals even further.

  19. Add Option to Set Font Color of Selected Items in Slicer

In my dashboard I have a slicer which filters a large list of names. The default color for the text of a selected item seems to be black. My background color is black, so when an item is selected it makes it difficult to see. I have the color for my font set to be turquoise so unselected items show up fine. It would be nice to set the font color for selected items.

  20. Better data label customization

When data labels are enabled on visualization types where data overlaps (such as clustered bar charts and line charts), there are occasions where data labels do not display, or it is difficult to tell which label corresponds to which bar/line. There should be better customization options for Data Labels, which would ease comprehension of various visualizations. In particular, for the varied types of bar charts:

    • Label location: start of bar, middle of bar, end of bar, end of chart

    • Label/Background colour matching: change the label's text or background to match the bar to which it corresponds

    • Label Stacking? If a…
