  2. SharePoint List Data Source - Connection Query.

We have a number of lists with over 100,000 rows. Is it possible to modify the connection string so that only a subset of the data is pulled into the model?

It could be done with the Power Query connection or the odata - I don't care which. But I need to restrict the rows and columns imported into the model.
OR, the ability to reference a VIEW on a SharePoint list might even be better/easier.

  3. Power Query data preview from the end of file option

We think this option will be useful to view how much rows remove from the trailer of the file with the remove last rows functions. Many thanks.

  4. Filters in Power View should appear in the report in the same order you have them stacked in the filter pane.

The filters should appear in the reports left to right in the same order they are stacked in the filter pane. Instead of alphabetical like they do now. We would like the filters to line up Region | Division | Office. But in the current build we have no control of this.

  5. Power Query should provide analysis of data in a column

Power Query should provide data on what type of data is in a specific column. For instance if you have a data that has a number of some type it should say " The Column contains decimals out to the 10th place or something along those lines to enable the user to make informed decisions about how to format the data.

  10. Azure Login and Datasource Browsing

Visual Studio allows those with Azure accounts to sign-in and browse their available objects: SQL Azure DBs, Blob Stores, even Websites. It would be great if this existed in the Designer.

Today, you have to lookup your Azure server name (non-memorable gibberish like 'axh98pt') for each datasource, then Google for the rest of the URL (its databases.windows.net for SQL Azure). Once you've done that you can proceed.

  13. VSO easy one-to-many dependency tracking

During release/triage meetings and for reporting, we want an easy way to see all the dependences (e.g., Tasks, Bugs, Issues) regardless of whether they are “Parent-Child” or other link types (e.g., Predecessor-Successor). This allows 1) teams to see the full scope of dependences and 2) (at a program level) we can prioritize dependencies based on how many different user stories they impact.

  14. Arrows on a Power Map to represent movement

Within Power View and Power Map you can - as far as I know - only display information on a certain point (country, city, zip code , etc) However, some of my clients would like to see the movement between different points, for example the movement of goods from The Netherlands to Germany. Wouldn't it be nice if you could plot an arrow on the map to represent the movement?

  17. Sending a WIQL to VSO to minimize the data

Connecting to VSO is great, but it brings ton of data as there are no filters. Can we send WIQL as a query and bring what we need?
