More colors available on palette
We can import JSON themes with more than 8 colours but we can't pick from more than 8.
Corporate branding will often have a large selection of secondary colours so it would be good to be able to select from everything we put into a theme.

Hyperlink Action for Button object
Our company has a "Help" document that we keep in SharePoint and link to in each of our reports. The newer BUTTONS object as three actions, and I propose adding "Open hyperlink" as a fourth. This would allow our users to link to our training documents, or to documents that support the data in the visual/report.

Matrix: conditional formatting per row in matrix
Currently, conditional formatting in matrix is based on all values of the matrix. I am looking forward to have it based on individual rows (a feature already available in Excel)
Consider having monthly data (column) which you want to track for multiple categories (rows). But the categories have completely different values (i.e. some rows with $10 on average and some rows with $1000 on average).
By applying conditional formatting per row, you can track trends/behaviour per individual category.Now the row with the highest values ($1000 row in above example) will typically steal all the highlights, and not allow you…

Add "Quarters" to relative date filtering.
I use relative date filtering frequently. Our organization frequently looks at data Quarter-over-Quarter. It would be great to be able to use Quarters in addition to days, weeks, months, years.

Can we have the What-If Parameters made usable in calculated columns in tables as well as in Measures?
What-If Parameters seem only to be usable in Measures. Can we have them made usable in formulas in calculated table columns?
This would allow them to be used to set calculated dimensions for use in visuals as well as measures.7 votes -
Arrange order of filters in new filter Pane with default being alphabetical
The new Filter Pane experience is wonderful but what I think is pivotal but missing is being able to custom arrange the order of the filters instead of having the ONLY order being alphabetical. If authors were to add 20-30 + filters in the pane with the most essential ones having their names start from - X, Y, Z then the users are forced to scroll all the way down instead of having these critical/mostly used filters on the top instead.

Download report template (.pbit) from Power BI Service
It takes a lot of time to download report with large dataset. For ex. 750MB of data can take 5 more hours to be downloaded, or if it is distributed team then some members are not able to download report at all to modify. In case if you don't have empty (.pbix) file or template (.pbit) it's a trouble ... is it possible to add download template feature from the Power BI Report online?

Focus Mode - Resize text on table and matrix
It would be nice to automatically resize the characters in tables and matrices in focus mode as is the case with the graphic elements.
If I create a table or matrix with font size 10, when I click on focus mode the table does not expand to full screen and the characters remain small

Power KPI Matrix
Need Tool-tips for spark-line in "Power KPI Matrix" to display Comment when the trend is out of limits. Something similar available for Line Chart.

Integrate VS Code for Power Query Advanced Editor
Visual Studio Code (VS Code) has an extension for Power Query M Language.
Please updated Power BI Desktop so when I click on Advanced Editor button it will pop up VS Code to edit the M code.

Measures folders order
It is not convenient to see folders that contains measures/kpis between the other measures and columns. Looks like they are sorted alphabetically by defaults, but ideally it could be like in Excel Pivot.
folders sorted ASC comes first;
measures sorted ASC comes next;

Cancel Option when "Working On It"
Please provide a cancel button/option when a DAX calculated column is processing.
There are times when I create a calculated column, and the logic causes extremely long wait times for the column to evaluate on the table. My only option is to kill the background SSAS process or PBI Desktop, and reopen the report.
My tables are about 1-6 million rows.

Bulk edit of interactions
When editing the interactions for a single visual, it'd be nice to have a bulk editing window. For example, the selected visual, vs. all the visuals in the page, where one could mark the type of interaction wanted for each of them, and have options like "disable all", although that doesn't apply exactly like that in here.

date format
The ability to have date format like: tue 08-01-2019
so day in short format, day number, month number and year.
so a user can see the day and the collum does n't take as much room as in format tuesday 8 january 2019.

Dark Mode for Power BI
Having a dark mode especially on the creator UI when putting things together would be helpful, similar to other MSFT apps (Azure, Office 2016, etc).

Please give the option to Rename the Visuals and Other objects available in Selection Pane. It will enhance the usability of Selection Pane
The selection pane allowing us to show and hide visuals only. It create confusion when we have same type of multiple Visuals or objects. If there would be an option to rename all the available objects in 'Selection Pane' then it would be easy for users to manage and it will also enhance the user experience related to 'Selection Pane'. Thanks!

Button Actions: Add Tooltip report page option
With the new Buttons feature added in April 2018, I'd like to see an action/option to display a Tooltip report page. With custom tooltips we can display more information about our reports by referencing a custom page. I'd like to use this feature in conjunction with buttons to finally have "more information" icons throughout my report.
I'm sure a custom information popup could be integrated into every visual, but I feel this method provides a higher level of customization.
How to Enable:
1) Add an information button to the report page.

Make visuals unselectable
I noticed in the Gartner Bakeoff report that you had used some filled shapes in the background to produce a nice looking report. E.g. having a blue bar on the left for the navigation pane.
However by clicking on the "background" it will bring that visual to the font and obscure any visualisations that should be on top of it.
There should be a way (possibly in the selection pane) of making it so an object cannot be selected to prevent this problem.
