  1. Multiple Display Support

    Display initial Power BI Desktop screen correctly when launched on a system running more than one display. I have to always disconnect multiple displays to get the Power BI Desktop to window to correctly format.

  2. Dynamic Measure not working in calculated column

    Hi,

    I have questions regarding slicers.
    I have one slicer having years so i want to get number of years selected that is count of year selected in dropdown so i create a measure as COUNTROWS(DISTINCT(Query3[AccountingPeriod])) which will calculate count of selected rows in slicer.

    No i want a calculated column which will divide my allocations by number of periods selected for example if user selected 4 years then calculated column will be allocation/ 4

    so for this i used formula for calculated column as Query1[Allocation]/[Measure] but it is not working it will always divide by total number of items…

  4. Power BI Print Preview used like a warranty certified

    Print Preview used like a warranty certified

    Displayed in your Web browser in a separate window from Power BI or saved in PDF file.

    The print preview consists of a Navigation and Contents frame.

    These frames contain the following elements:

    Lists of Data Source Settings user on the project:

    Lists of Relationships

    Lists of visible tables

    Lists of New Measure and New Column with the details of DAX...
    - Table Sales -> Sales Rows -> Sales Rows = COUNTROWS ( Sales )
    - Table Sales -> ales Amount -> Sales Amount = SUMX ( Sales; Sales[Quantity] * Sales[Unit Price] )

  5. Default Color Problem

    Default Color cannot be changed on Power BI charts e.g. clustered column charts cannot change from default green color. especially when only a single item is on the chart

  6. Display Image based on slicer selection

    Hi All,

    I am trying to create a view in POwerBi where if on Slicer I select a country Name corresponding flag details should be displayed.

    The issue I ma having is when I select all the countries or No countries are selected then the image of globe should be displayed.

    Could anyone please help me on this

    India www.link1.png
    Japan www.link2.png
    China www.link3.png
    Australia www.link3.png
    New Zealand www.link4.png

    When no country is selected then logo in www.link5.png should be displayed on the card visual

  7. More usability in Powerbi desktop

    The ability to place objects like in Visio - auto guide lines that shows spacing between objects, more customization of the workspace - grid size ect. The ability to move more than one element with the arrow keys.

    More options regarding pictures, colors, fonts - the icon gallery option known from MS Word/Power Point could be included for greater communication of the data presented.

    The ability to copy between two different instances of desktop clients
    I know this is small things, but I will make the desktop version that more powerful!

  9. SSRS do not support R or Custom Visuals

    Custom visuals and R visuals are not compatible when deployed to SSRS, only standard visuals.

    Please extend the supported visuals at least to R visuals to enable the users to customize visuals more.

  10. Column Chart Conditional Formatting using same measure

    When I create a column chart I can only choose measures for color saturation measures that I am not currently using in the Value bucket.
    In some of my dashboards I need to use in color saturation the same measure that are being used in values.
    It would be great if it was possible to use the same measure both in Values and in Color Saturation.

    When I create a new column I would like to have a Fx button ( Like in Excel) in order to choose and select alla available functions along with a tooltip.

  12. Define custom palette usage order

    Most companies have specific guidelines as to how their branding colors should be used. While the custom palette functionality is a good start, we're finding that our secondary colors are being used before the primary branding colors. This request is to allow the user to define the color usage order.

    Additionally, having the flexibility to specify which colors should be used in the automatic branding would be extremely helpful.
    Ex. Red and green is not part of the company branding but we use these colors to indicate "good" and "bad". We want these colors in the palette, but would exclude…

  13. The option to remove totals from table.

    Make the "Total" at the bottom of tables optional. The option has been there, but has been removed for some reason.

  15. import data based on data model

    QlikView supports this via its LEFT/RIGHT KEEP commands. Basically, if I have a Calendar and an Order tables, and the Order.Date is linked to Calendar.Date, then I would like to load only Order records with matching Order.Date and Calendar.Date. This would ensure data consistency in my data model automatically and eliminate to load too many data not needed. I would like feature to be supported, if possible. Thanks.

  16. "Snap to Grid" for Multiple Objects

    I really like the new "snap to grid feature"; however, it only works when moving/sizing one object at a time. It would be nice to select multiple visuals and move/size them all with the "snap to grid" feature.

  18. Aliasing in visuals.

    It will be good if we have aliasing in the visuals. Because sometimes business name will be more understandable than a column name. If the same column is being referred in multiple places then aliasing helps.

  19. Dispaly fields in categories

    In the fields view/column (right hand side of desktop)...

    instead of having all fields listed in one group in alphabetical order, can you please create a sub-section with all Dimensions and another with all Columns and another with all Measures

  20. Cancel opening Power BI Desktop (add x in top corner)

    Cancel opening Power BI Desktop (add x in top corner). If you have opened Power BI Desktop by a mistake it would be nice to cancel the opening by pressing x in the top left of the corner as you can with Excel and Word.
