The feedback frown face is missing from my version of PowerBI Desktop... So i'm submitting the bug/problem through suggestions (the only thing that is available through my version of PowerBI...)
The main problem i'm trying to report though is:
trying to import a SQL table (a few of them at the same time, but they keep giving me the same error so I tried one at a time and got the same issue), but I get the error:
Failed to save modifcations to the server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: Type mismatch. (Exzception from HRESULT: 0x80020005 (DISP_E_TYPEMISMATCH)).'.3 votes
Just like the new update on Maps Viz, where we can provide a hierarchy on the location so that the location with a same name in a different country, for example, doesn't shows up on the viz.2 votes

After reading this 2 articles (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Creating-Slopegraphs-in-Power-BI/ba-p/180034 and http://charliepark.org/slopegraphs/), I was thinking it could be a good idea to improve line chart with a few features. It could be interesting that we could use a measure to adjust
- the thickness of a line
-the color of a line3 votes

When defining measures it's important to give them the best name to quickly identify there purpose. These names can sometimes be very long and not directly clear to an end user.
After dragging these columns to a table or matrix visual it should be possible to change the columnnames so they can be shorter and more clear for users.
For example below measures
Index Turnover - Turnover LY
Index Turnover - Budget
Should be in a table:
Turnover LY Index Budget Index3 votes
When changing the data type in the table stop the auto refresh that jumps you back to the first column
When changing the data type in the table stop the auto refresh that jumps you back to the first column. Also the ability to edit multiple columns in the table view would be convenient1 vote
In some corporate scenarios it will be critical that data is not published to any PBI instance other than the corporate instance. Is it possible to implement some method of using group Policy to limit the domains a user can publish a PBI report to. So they could only publish to the corpporate PBI instance not any "random" instance. Or disable external publishing altogether and only allow publishing to an internal (on premise) PBI Report Server2 votes
It's very nice, that you can now connect to an existing dataset and create a new report on this dataset using PBI Desktop, but It would also be very use full if it were possible to connect to an existing report build in the service to make customizations to this report in PBI Desktop and the republish this to service.7 votes
In order to create visually appealing reports/dashboards in Power BI, it is basically a no-go from within PBI Desktop. There simply are not enough feature-rich tools to accomplish this. Instead, we find ourselves having to create background images in another tool, add them as a background and then try to make them fit well in the scheme.
Please update Power BI Desktop with better drawing tools.1 vote
Congrats on a new Relative Date Slicer!
Let's make it even more Dynamic.
Instead of limiting the time-steps (years, months, etc.), please give the possibility to write free DAX EXPRESSIONS for the default memeber that the report would be filtered upon opening.
So that I could write even conditional expressions, such as "If today is Saturday, then slice on the last week else show current week".
You can also apply the free DAX-powered default members choosing for all kinds of slicers, not just Dates.
Thanks and good luck!5 votes

Currently we are working with a couple of team members in preparing reports with PowerBI desktop for leadership. As part of collaboration with these reports, we find ourselves having to spend time just to integrate these reports manually into one of our desktops. There should be a better way to collaborate in building a common report within you team.2 votes
Suppose I want to start x or y axis of a chart with zero and with every subsequent point, the value constantly increases with 0.5. In power BI, its not possible to be that specific with plotting. We can decide the start and the end point of the chart and also the number of decimal points but that doesn't really help in this case. Right now I can either start with zero but then I cannot have the difference of 0.5 or if I put 0.5 as start point, then zero wont be a part of that axis.1 vote
When you alt-tab from PowerBI in the middle of the entering formula and alt-tab back, you have to click on the input field to continue typing.1 vote
Power BI gets updates frequently. I don't really need to get an update that often, but I only have the option to turn it off completely. It would then only trigger me 30 days in advance if a version would stop working.
I would like to be able to control it more. To have the option to offer me the available updates every week, month or other custom period.1 vote
We desperately need the 'See Records' drill feature to be enabled when using a live connection to SSAS so our users can see the underlying records/data.8 votes
in the power query stage we may use several transaction to preform a specific task.
for example : in order to create a new field that is built from two part of other columns we need to use split and the create a costume column for the new column.
if we can group them into tasks it could have made the ribbon much clearer and easier to understand1 vote
