You are creating a review (document) describing the landscape of sales in Poland and you would like to add some dashboards into this as a visual. ofcourse, I can creat the screenshot and add it but the image will work better.392 votes
Ability to turn off tooltip and ability to remove the default tooltip (ie the columns used to create the visual).369 votes
As some people have already noted in the comments, we’ve actually shipped this feature already! It was included as part of our July update to Power BI Desktop. You can read all about it in our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-2018-feature-summary/#tooltips
And of course, if you have any other feature suggestions, please make sure to vote on them.
The other day, one of my customer told me that one of the report page was not neccessary. So I deleted.
Now, he says he wants this page back, but I have to replicate it.
It Would be great if we had the possibility of hide a page, so we don't need to delete and recreate if needed.
Unfortunately, I forgot to update the idea but we did finish this feature back in January! https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-january-2018-feature-summary/#hidePages
Be able to connect to an ESRI ArcGIS geodatabase to view and query on feature classes.366 votes

It will be very useful if we could easily copy text displayed on tables cells, and slicers to clipboard to reusing them on other applications or in formulas.299 votes
You can copy from table and matrix visuals by right-clicking and choosing Copy Values. Thanks for supporting this idea!
In a regular PivotTable we can nest axis labels e.g. we can group regional data by year. Currently PowerBI only supports one level of X axis labels.
There are loads of areas where this would be useful but one example is with the MailChimp campaign data which currently only allows you to list all the campaigns alphabetically. I want to group/sort by date. My only option is to use Slicers to filter out periods I don't want, but that doesn't really help me see them in date order.282 votes
You can nest x-axis labels in column charts! You can read more about the feature here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-feature-summary/#hierarchicalAxis
I would be Nice to have option for setting dotted or solid lines for each rowset in a linechart. typically used for illustrating Budget/forecasts (dotted) and actuals (solid)283 votes
You can do this as of our August update of the Power BI Desktop! Check out the details in our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-august-2017-feature-summary/#lineStyles
add number percentages to dashboard and power view pie charts. if the issue is "how does Power BI handle smaller and smaller slices without becoming muddled?", then maybe just have it label the larger slices and not the smaller slices so users can see what factors are having the highest order of magnitude impact on their business.282 votes
Sorry about the confusion around this feature! You can now add percent to pie and donut chart data labels without the need of using a quick calc. You can read about the feature in our blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-feature-summary/#dataLabels
I need to have the possibility to add conditional formatting in Matrix chart as we can do in Cross table in Excel.
We’ve added support for conditional formatting on the matrix visual in the November release of Power BI Desktop. To learn more, check out our blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-feature-summary/
Creating custom hierarchy is possible in Power view which is very helpful to drill down different hierarchies. It would be great if this feature is added to Power BI.240 votes
You can create custom hierarchies in Power BI! Here’s a quick demo of how to set these up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYPuJu2N45w&list=PL1N57mwBHtN0JFoKSR0n-tBkUJHeMP2cP&index=18
It would be great to have a conditional alert system that would periodically send an email based on any metric. For example: The report updates everyday but only sends alert if Sales<Budget.180 votes
We have implemented a functionality to set alerts on numeric tiles featuring cards and gauges. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-set-data-alerts/
I am updating this item as “completed”. Please give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback.
Currently you can set a filter that applies to an individual chart, or at a page/view level. You should also be able to make a filter apply across all the pages/views in a report.139 votes
Report Page Tooltips added in Mar 2018 is a fantastic feature, however they don't appear when a report is shared using the "Publish to Web" functionality.
Apart from the fact, it's not included as a limitation in the documentation, it's a real shame not to be able to use this feature in publicly available reports.138 votes
Publish to web now supports report page tooltips automatically, no extra work on your end! Thanks for voting on this idea.
We need the option to drill up or down online for individual graphs. The new update online is terrible and it is not intuitive. At least add drill up or down back to graphs and also have the option in the explore tab online. There is also not an option to drill up or down when you are in full screen, which is very cumbersome. This is honestly one of the worst updates for the online version.134 votes
You can use the drill icon on the visual or use right click to drill on a visual either on the web or in Power BI Desktop.
As much as I like the new Drillthrough actions, it seems a bit lacking in that it does not also pass through any report filters that are active on the source report on the source report.130 votes
As of the May release of Desktop this is now supported! All filters (report, page, visual, slicers and cross-highlighting) can be passed through to the detail page.
Thanks for voting!
Please add GANTT Charts to the list of visuals130 votes
I would like to lock the location and zoom instead of always going back to the default view of the whole globe.
This will apply both for Report and Dashboards.108 votes
With the October release of Power BI Desktop, you can now disable auto-zoom, allowing you to keep the map at a specific zoom level. For more info, check out the latest Power BI Desktop blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-october-feature-summary/
Bi-Directional RLS is now available in SSAS 2016 but not available to Power BI Desktop/Web.
This can lead to confusion and unexpected behavior when setting up RLS. Potentially, unwanted data can be exposed to an RLS enabled users as Report level filters do support bi-directional filtering. The filtering behavior used by RLS should be consistent with a Report level filter.101 votes
Hi everyone. This is supported in Power BI Desktop today! Bi-di filters are respected by RLS and can be managed within Desktop.
You’ll find information about it here:
The Play ability in a Bubble Chart is a great way of discovering and visualizing trends. The current manual way of interacting with the timeline is not really useful.97 votes
Please add support for custom visuals in org content packs. There is currently no way to enable a custom visual in content packs95 votes
Hi everyone, we’re happy to announce that custom visuals are now allowed in organizational content packs! Thank you again for your feedback and continued engagement.
