  1. Capability to save the configured Filter Settings in PowerBI Report Server Reports

There are different users which use our reports on a PowerBi Report Server. They also use different values for the filters in the report. When they start the report the values of the report developer are applied to the report, which are, in most cases, not the values the users need.
If Report Server was able to save the parameters in the form of favorites, the user experience would be improved and the user would be able to see faster the Information they need.

  2. Report Server - Respect Telemetry Settings during upgrade

    Dear Power BI Team,

I'd like to ask if you could update Report Server Update process that it respects telemetrie settings manually set within registry and doesn't overwrites it again each update?

I've written whole story at: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/Power-BI-Report-Server-Telemetry/m-p/719152#M10697

    Many thanks
    Daniel

  4. On PBI Report Server, add ability to edit parameters.

In PBI Desktop for Report Server, you can edit your parameters. When report is deployed to the Power BI Report Server, you can edit the parameters on the server. I believe this capability already exists on the PBI Service.

  6. Incremental Refresh for the Power BI Report Server Reports

It would be very great feature if we have Incremental Refresh option for PBIRS - Pro license. This can resolve various refresh issues around the environment to support large dataset PBIX files on the server with lightening speed. Could you please review and provide update when this feature can be provided to the users.

  7. Allow author of power bi report to specify a default page

Allowing the author or authors to specify a default page for the report will make it so that when the report is updated or changed, the person making the update does not have to remember to select the "default" page before saving and publishing. This will save a ton of headache from many end users wondering why their "default" page changed on them after making an adjustment to the report.

  8. Report Server comment functionality

Update the comment functionality in Power BI report server, to that of the Power BI service. Tagging colleagues in comments and bookmarking views is very important for larger organizations

  9. Connect to SharePoint in Report Server same as in Desktop

When connecting to a SharePoint list you can connect anonymous, or using a Windows or Microsoft Account. When uploading to Report Server the connection via a Microsoft Account is missing.

  10. Update Report Server UI - Modern Design

Please update the Report Server UI to a modern design. The current report server looks old and outdated. The Report Server should look more consistent with the online version. Maximise the report viewing area too.

  12. Scheduled data refresh for custom connectors on Power BI Report Server

Currently the scheduled data refresh on Power BI Report Server (on premise) is not supported for custom connectors. Also Direct Query mode is not available for them (except of ODBC connectors). Combination of these 2 limitations makes the custom connectors practically useless in runtime - the only way to refresh the data is to do it manually in PBI Desktop and to re-upload the report on the server.

The idea is to allow custom connectors to have scheduled data refresh enabled / supported. It would be of great value to allow developers to create their own connectors and use it…

  13. Hide Filters pane on Power BI Report Server

Is there any possiblity to hide Filters pane in Power BI Report server. We don't want to show the filters been used to external clients in our report for unnecessary discussion on calls.

Something like &filterPaneEnabled=false in Power BI Report Server

  14. Mark Custom Visualizations that work with Power BI Report Server

In Market Place (or wherever the custom visualizations are or will be housed), PLEASE mark the visualizations that work on Power BI Report Server.

This small change would make it easier for our users to know which visualizations to use and which not to bother with because they can find out only by trial and error. This is a very time-consuming process.

  15. Report Server - Scheduled Refresh Plan and Data Source modify

    Dear Power BI Team,

after editing data source of report with configured scheduled refresh it will result that refresh plan isn't shown at portal any more but will still run with old settings and result in error.

I've wrriten whole story at: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Report-Server-Scheduled-Refresh-Plan-and-Data-Source-modify/idi-p/563088

Could you take a look and maybe change annoying behaviour at any next release?

    Many thanks
    Daniel

  16. Report Server Scale-Out - Maintenance Mode

    Dear Power BI Team,

I'd like to ask for some kind of Maintenance Mode for Scale-Out Systems. I tried to use removing a system from scale-out and redding it again, but found some disadvantages (see below).

E.g. I'd like to remove a system from Windows Update maintenance from scale-out that it doesn't perform any scheduled refreshes during updates and reboot which may result in errors by refresh.

I've written whole story at: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Report-Server-Scale-Out-Refresh-Issue/idi-p/1079180

    Many thanks
    Daniel

  17. Report Server and Python Visual

Utilizes Python Visuals are important due to the fact that not all problems are solved by using the built-in visuals.

Even though the Python Visual is available in the PBI Desktop which is optimized for Report Server, it fails when uploading the report to the Report Server.

We need this to go on floating offshore vessels that has intermittent connectivity and thus can not rely on an internet connection.

Please provide support for Python Visuals with the Report Server.

  18. Be able to disable the "include link" option in PowerBI Report Server email subscriptions and/or set default to unchecked.

Frequently customers want to set the default value for subscriptions such as set the default for Include Link to unchecked. There are customers adding javascript to the aspx page to force the field to unchecked (showing the need). This should be saved in the configuration table so it can be modified.

  19. Do not show Pro Trial user report was successfully share when it wasnt!

When you attempt to share a Power BI report as a Pro Trial user a "success" message appears that the "Your report has been shared successfully"

This message is not correct. The report was not shared.

The follow article states that Pro Trial users cannot invite guest.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-admin-azure-ad-b2b#considerations-and-limitations

Power BI should display a message that the report cannot be shared with a trial licence. Or better still allow Pro Trial users to share reports during the trial period.

  20. PBIRS full screen button

Could a full screen button be added to PowerBI Report Server? Possibly to the far right of the status bar where the page tabs appear.
