Missing Totals/summary of selected values (as in Excel)
When I have selected items in i.e. a treemap I miss today a quick calculation / summary of the values I have selected.
In Excel we have on the righmost bottom corner a line that summarizes the values that have been selected in different cells. You get SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX etc. easily presented each time you select any cells.
I'd like to have a similar field/row/object in Power BI.
If I for instance have a treemap Showing "%GT xx by yy" and select two of the fields, I'd like to see the sum of the values selected. Example, I…

Field fixed during chart drill down for hierachy
We would like to give below suggestion for enhancing chart drilldown functionality.
1) If we use drilldown with hierarchy, we would like to fix xaxis field during drill down to next level. For ex. if we use "Year" and "Category hierarchy" then during drill down, Year should be fixed on Xaxis. For more details, please refer thishttp://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Helpondrilldownwithhierarchyinchart/mp/42714
2) Possibility to add all level of hierarchy in Legend.
Thank you in advance!

XIRR produces different results in Power BI than Excel. XNPV matches though
I got an error trying to calculate xirr:
MdxScript(Model) (1,42) Calculation error in measure
... The XIRR function couldn't find a solutionThe same set of cashflows produce a number in Excel
XNPV works in both cases but it looks like the root finder is not converting in Power BI but it works find in Excel1 vote
Data Labels Variance
On hover on data labels within comparison charts (eg a Year over Year Line chart) I should be able to see the variance YoY as a percentage. I always get asked for this in my dashboards using PowerBI

Inbuilt Time Intelligence with MTD, YTD, Prior Year calculations and Rolling "X" Months
It would be nice to have Time Intelligence calculations for every dashboard, It is difficult to use DAX with Dynamic date. Let suppose user want to see his MTD, YTD for the past months.

Would like to have an argument builder wizard for creating complex matrixes
I think it would be useful to have a wizard like power query where you can set the specifics of a visual for example.
Top N customers who have spent/havnt spent in the last ? month
etc
I think this would be a major selling point of Power Bi if implemented.
Also since we no what our date table is I think it would be useful to have built in time intelligence functions which could be driven of the side menu.
Thanks

Automatic relationships based on the table data and not just the columns names
It could be very useful to base the automatic relationships on the content of the tables, when data are similar on 2 tables like customer names, or date.

Enable drill down into the grid. Same way of SRS or Excel
with the drill down enable in the views, pages or dashboards will be easier to analyze data. Also will help to keep the reports compact and expand or collapse interactively.

Quick Insights Expanded Integration with Desktop
Currently results from Quick Insights seem limited to pinning individual tiles to a dashboard in the Service. It would be more useful to expand on this great feature to be able to 1) select ALL the results and pin them en masse 2) ability to pin or import Quick Insight results to the Desktop authoring tool to be able to further customize the results.

Tooltips update when selecting multiple areas of a chart
It would be good if when selecting multiple areas of a chart (ie. 2 or 3 of 8 bars or 1 or 2 slices of a pie) the tool tip updated to show total of selection or showed more data like the average max min etc.
This would allow for selecting parts of a chart to get a quick total or compare the average of 3 months to the yearly, etc.1 vote
view as specified date
The ability to view as a particular date would be very useful. Many graphs we use are based on today's date (autocalculated by Power BI), therefore, the ability to view the dashboard as though it was a particular date would be very beneficial e.g. the last day of the month to review the previous month's targets and figures.

Tooltip for Analytics
There should be a label or tooltip to show which analytics has been used. For eg. in a bar chart, if I'm showing an average line as well as a maximum, how would the user/viewer identify which line that is for.

Current Aug 2016 version don't support Dynamic lines in x and y axes, which works on measure . Thru this we can segregate the area in graph.
I am working on Menu Engineering task and i have designed a good report which is showing me popularity% on y and Item profit on X axes , menu Er has 4 component, If an item is both profitable and popular then it’s a STAR. It it’s profitable but relatively unpopular then enter the word CHALLENGE. If the item is relatively unprofitable but popular then enter the word WORKHORSE. Finally, a DOG is an unprofitable and unpopular menu item, i want to segregate thru these dynamic line of X and Y Axes.
